Job Summary
Savigent is looking for talented Sales Executives with a proven track record of hunting and closing new business in the B2B software and services industry. Experience in engaging, building relationships, and closing deals with the senior execute suite in IoT, digital automation, MES or smart manufacturing solutions to either industrial manufacturing, packaged goods, medical device, food processing, chemical, oil & gas or semi-conductor industry channels needs is a requirement.

The primary responsibility of the sales executive is to hunt and close new logo business. The Sales Executive will operate at the frontlines as a hands-on sales lead, focused on growing new customers and the revenue base. He/she will target new prospects, conduct pursuit activity, create proposals, execute the daily sales activity of tracking and managing prospect relationships, and maintenance our salesforce CRM.

The Sales Executive will report to the VP of Sales and work closely with the sales team, subject matter experts and technical solution architects to develop proposals that meet prospect’s needs.  Success for the Sales Executive will be measured by their ability to achieve and exceed new customer sales goals.

Essential Functions

  • Achieve new logo revenue target by selling the Savigent platform to the industrial and commercial products space.
  • Investigate and understand the internal business process of potential customers, build executive relationships, and develop long term partnerships.
  • Provide leadership to a cross-functional pursuit team (sales, presales, subject matter experts, solution architects, etc.).
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work seamlessly with internal and external partners (e.g., alliance partners, affiliate executives, industry partners).
  • Drive and manage the sales process – identifying of the opportunity to close of the deal.
  • Able to create and deliver high impact customer presentations, communications, and proposals. Adapt with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Competent in ability to forecast and assess true revenue opportunities.

Skills and knowledge most relevant to the position:

  • Software and Services selling experience to industrial manufacturing, discreet manufacturing, consumer products and related industries.
  • Understands and possess knowledge in IIOT, Digital and Smart Manufacturing solution space and associated complex selling process.
  • Understands industry trends and customer/market needs. Has the ability to clearly articulate to executives, customers and prospects how our software and services offerings can meet their supply chain and operations needs and deliver significant value.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop trusted and lasting relationships with executives and at all levels within customer organizations.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively in the development of customer solutions, pricing and pursuit/proposal strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in software sales and professional software implementation services
  • Bachelor’s degree or related equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Innovative self-starter
  • Experience presenting to small and large groups both online and in person
  • Ability to travel >50%
