Job Summary

The Project Manager III will partner with Project and Program Managers, Resource, Account and Engagement Managers to ensure solid project execution.  As a key part of the project management team, the Project Manager III will focus on targeted initiatives and interact with cross-functional team-members and Savigent clients to utilize agile tools and practices to successfully forecast, track projects, address roadblocks, and deliver projects on-time and within budget.  As manufacturers are our core customers, experience with manufacturing operations and automation technology is important to being effective in this role.


Essential Functions

  • Leads customer facing project teams, including the management of Solutions team activities, the project schedule, scope and the overall design to customer project objectives, with ultimate responsibility for successful execution within target metrics
  • Able to bring manufacturing and automation experience to projects to guide delivery to achieve real business outcomes
  • Proactively and constructively engages with manufacturing/operations stakeholders to understand project priorities and ensure that gaps are identified and addressed
  • Identifies new opportunities for value and can guide prioritization of project tasks in accordance with project and operational goals
  • Able to utilize and facilitate agile approaches, such as Scrum and Kanban, with project teams to effectively deliver value
  • Be able to play the roles of Scrum Master and Product Owner as needed
  • Drives for continuous improvement and regularly contributes to a Solutions community organization
  • Communicates effectively with customers and stakeholders, keeping them apprised of timelines and milestones by providing project status updates, managing scope, setting expectations, coordinating handoffs, and escalating dependencies.
  • Keeps documentation and system records organized and compliant with project methodology and tools
  • Complies with required regulations, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Positively engages and manages group alignment on project steps and assigns critical tasks across various functions to ensure milestones are achieved, including with partner and internationally distributed teams.  (Team-members formally report to their functional heads)
  • Capable of executing most tactical and day-to-day activities successfully without leadership instruction
  • Develops a comprehensive project plan, which proactively identifies resource needs, objectives, strategy, risk/issue mitigation, budget, effort estimates and schedules
  • Leads phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and cross-functional/external team coordination.
  • Partner with functional managers and Finance to ensure related business initiatives/projects are completed on time and accurately reflect daily/weekly activities i.e.
    • Prepare and/or review customer billing statements and hour reconciliations
    • Ensure time reporting aligns with contract/project scope
    • Address, errors and/or omissions, questions and concerns immediately
    • Ensure records of time management activities are retained and fully support billing statements
  • Other duties as needed
  • Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
    • 3+ years of manufacturing and automation experience preferred
    • 3+ years of project management experience preferred, with 2+ years of agile experience
    • Minimum 3 years of technology or automation project experience, 5+ years preferred
    • Project management, agile, six sigma, and lean certifications preferred
    • Demonstrated past experience in process design, process execution, coordination, and leadership
    • Possess a strong work ethic, flexibility, desire to learn, and commitment to success
    • Excellent skills with Excel and Microsoft Office, project management/agile tools a plus
    • Possess a functional knowledge of manufacturing, software, and technology concepts
    • Must be able to present himself/herself in a professional manner and possess excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%
