Dean TruittDean Truitt – Chief Executive Officer (Interim)

Dean is a Savigent Board Director, has served as the Chief Financial Officer and is now the CEO on an interim basis. He has 35 years of experience, including serving as a CEO of several high growth companies. Early in his career he was a EY Partner and the Consumer Products National Practice Leader for the US and Accenture (Andersen Consulting)’s National Food Supply Chain Practice Leader. He has been a strategic operations advisor to Fortune 500 food, discrete manufacturing, automotive and consumer products companies. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University.




Mark Besser – Senior Vice President of Customer Success

Mark joined Savigent in 2013 and is responsible for all aspects of engagement with our customers and prospects including sales, services and support. He also leads our alliance partner program and channel organization. He has more than 30 years of experience ensuring customers obtain the maximum leverage out of the investments they make in technology. Prior to joining Savigent Software, Mark held similar positions with Oracle Corporation, Guidance Software, Orion Consulting, and Cray Research.  He serves on the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) International Board of Directors and their Executive Committee, and on the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Coalition Board of Directors.  Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University, and a Master of Business Administration in Information/Data Management from University of St. Thomas.



Ben Nielsen – Chief Technology Officer

Ben brings over 20 years of experience in technology and product development and is responsible for leading the development and expansion of new technology solutions for the Savigent suite of products. He has an extensive background in business technology, working with companies in a variety of industries to take high-technology products from conceptualization through development to release. He has also held positions at Edgile, UnitedHealth Group, Wireless Ronin Technologies, PeopleNet and GE Capital. Nielsen has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Iowa State University, and is the author of several approved and pending patents.




Jimmy AsherJimmy Asher – Vice President of Product Strategy

Jimmy joined Savigent in 2012 and has been active in manufacturing and systems integration for more than 20 years. A mechanical engineer, he started his career in machine design and robotics; as his career progressed, he focused more on controls systems and integration. He has many years of experience programming PLC, HMI, DCS, and MES systems in a variety of discreet and process industries across many industry verticals, both regulated and non-regulated. This experience has also allowed him to manage projects as an owner’s agent and technical architect, determining a path to elevate information from the shop floor to a higher level for better business decisions and actions. Prior to joining Savigent, he held positions with Avid Solutions and Johnson & Johnson. He also serves on the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Associations (MESA) International Board as treasurer and various MESA committees.



Steve BarnettSteve Barnett – Vice President of Customer Success

Steve is a Savigent founder and member of the Board of Directors. He has over 30 years of operations management experience and led the team that developed Savigent’s Workflow product, which was granted a patent in 2014 for its Workflow management system. In his role as Vice President of Customer Success, Steve has global responsibility for customers in the semiconductor industry helping to minimize variance, improve efficiency, standardize processes and implement Smart Manufacturing solutions.





Rick StrahlRick Strahl – Director of Customer Success

Rick has over 35 year of experience in management consulting, innovation, program delivery, manufacturing operations improvement and the application of information technology. He is driven to help customers maximize return on investment and realize value through pilot projects and global enterprise deployments. He has worked across multiple industries including healthcare, medical device, semiconductor, consumer packaged goods and food & beverage at every level of global operations from strategic planning, sourcing, operations planning and production control.  He currently serves on Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association’s (MESA) Americas Board of Directors and various MESA committees.
