Job Summary

The Software Trainer (ST) will be the lead trainer of Savigent Software’s Workflow Automation and Smart Manufacturing solutions for global customers and partners. The ST will be responsible for leading 2 to 5-day training classes for executives, engineers, process analysts and operations technology (OT) personnel. This will include leading participants through case study workshops, training courses to build/configure software solutions, and facilitating certification testing of participants. She/he will also be an integral member of the team to develop new courses and Computer Based Training (CBT) modules. The ST will create and utilize a set of tools that include instructor led training, online training, digital job aids, videos, etc. to accelerate solution adoption.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare lesson plans, generate content, and deliver software training classes across the Savigent software products.
  • Present a welcoming and accepting environment that leaves a positive impression on the Savigent brand
  • Coordinate class calendar and manage overall course schedules
  • In preparation for classes, generate and prepare content if necessary, configure environment and lab tools, and
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Savigent training and make continuous improvement to content and delivery approaches based on class experience and feedback.
  • Adapt and refresh training curriculum for new product releases
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education OR engineering OR information technology
  • 7+ years’ experience as a software trainer
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, interpersonal and group facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Takes initiative, manages time well, work independently, and ability to multi-task
  • Travel as required
Preferred Experiences
  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Certified Software Trainer
  • Understands the software development lifecycle, IT and Q & A techniques
  • Solid IT implementation and solutions delivery experience
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Job Summary

The Tech Writer is responsible for creating product documentation, technical support documents and user and administrator manuals. While working closely with the Manufacturing Engineering staff to ensure accuracy of product descriptions, the Tech Writer must explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Essential Functions
  • Plan, develop, organize, write, edit and proofread operational procedures and manuals
  • Follow writing style standards for order, clarity, continuity of style and terminology; creating screenshots/diagrams/charts to support text
  • Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
  • Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
  • Develop a process and procedure for keeping all documentation up to date (printed and on-line content), effectively managing updates and revisions in a timely manner
  • Ensure the quality of all documents and data
  • Research and evaluate new documentation tools and methods
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Communications with 5 year’s experience as Technical Writer; previous experience in a Manufacturing industry highly desired
  • A strong interest in working with and learning about, all parts of the product development life cycle
  • Experience working in a technical industry, understanding basic terms, grammar, writing style, sentence form, and structure
  • Ability to grasp new technologies and convert this knowledge into easily understood terms
  • Ability to organize and maintain content in an intuitively navigable format both in printed form and in on-line content
  • Excellent written/oral communication, proofreading and editing skills
  • Passionate about getting accurate knowledge into a usable format
  • Ability to work well with others, gleaning knowledge and driving for results

Job Summary

As part of the Customer Success team, the Solutions Architect (SA) will travel to customer sites on a regular basis to provide technical and functional software expertise for enterprise-wide manufacturing automation and integration projects. Partnering with the Sales team and other functions, the SA will support pre-sales activities, software demonstrations, identify process improvement opportunities, architect Savigent Solutions, quantify costs and benefits and develop implementation plans/roadmaps for achieving value from Savigent software.

Essential Functions

Collaborate with customers both, on-site and remotely to understand customer needs, map current state processes, provide technical software and functional expertise in order to optimize manufacturing and supply chain operations.

  • Participate in discussions with customer personnel to assess current technology landscapes and design potential Savigent solutions
  • Participate in the design of Savigent software components and the supporting technical infrastructure including security, scalability, maintainability, availability and resiliency
  • Participate and work with team-members on project management initiatives, helping to ensure solutions are on time and as requested
  • Produce high quality technical design, build and procedure documentation
  • Support Project engagements, work collaboratively with other team members, communicate effectively and foster team success.
  • Provide transparent and regular status updates
  • Support the full project lifecycle to include any of the following: consulting, discovery, analysis, architecture, design, documentation, building, migration, automation and production-readiness activities
  • Facilitate discussions with customer personnel to assess current systems and technology landscapes and design potential Savigent solutions
  • Propose professional services projects including defining work steps, estimating resource needs, scoping Savigent reuse and estimating costs, benefits and timing
  • Support on-site fit / gap workshops such as Kaizen events or other accepted process improvement approaches
  • Work closely with project management to ensure architectural alignment with project goals and requirements and ensure deliveries progress alignment with plans
  • Work independently on targeted projects
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Sciences or equivalent, Master’s Preferred
  • Three (3)+ years relevant competency in manufacturing improvement, lean manufacturing/six sigma and/or manufacturing software projects with experience as an implementer, process analyst, team leader and technical leader
  • Three (3)+ years’ experience in executing supply chain, operations management, ERP or continuous improvement projects
  • Three (3)+ years in demonstrated management consulting or similar experience (with Fortune 500 clients a plus)
  • Experience with relevant programming languages and technologies, e.g., c#, ASP.Net, SQL Server
  • Awareness of system architecture and infrastructure deployments
  • Ability to work under time-pressure
  • Natural aptitude for working in teams and capacity/capability to lead teams
  • Current knowledge of software Industry best practices and/or emerging technologies
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development, Agile, lean six sigma methodologies
  • Experience leading and participating in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills
  • Experience participating in training sessions for customers and clients
  • 50% Travel
