Job Summary

Creates and posts all transactions into accounting software, including customer invoices, cash receipts, and supplier payables. Creates customer invoices from time reporting system. Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing submissions to payroll service. Drives month-end close and the creation of monthly financial statements. Assistance with periodic project margin analysis. Reconcile accounts to ensure their accuracy.

Essential Functions
  • Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner, taking all reasonable discounts
  • Update weekly cash flow forecast
  • Process employee expense reports and payments
  • Utilize information from time reporting system and collaborate with project managers to create and issue customer invoices, drive development of utilization reporting to anticipate future staffing needs
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Record cash receipts and scan bank deposits
  • Monitoring and reporting on maintenance contracts and renewal notifications
  • Provide timely, accurate information to the CFO for decision-making
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Assist in preparing information for presentations and management requests
Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ year’s experience in Accounting
  • Degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experienced in Microsoft tools (e.g., Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks/Microsoft Dynamics accounting software package is a plus
