BLOOMINGTON, MINN. – Savigent Software, Inc., a leading provider of event-driven manufacturing operations management software, has announced that its Director of Customer Success, Rick Strahl has been named chair of the MESA (Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association) International Production Process Management Working Group. The group will explore the challenges manufacturers face in automating their processes and develop best practices and technical content.

The scope of the working group will include examining the overlap between business and production processes, engineering and process automation solutions. Strahl will oversee the working group, leading the review and development of technical content and ensuring that the working group is properly engaged in bringing value to MESA members and the industry at large.

“Manufacturers know that making their processes more efficient through automation and technology needs to be a priority in today’s data-driven, fast-paced business environment,” said Strahl. “I am eager to work with my peers on identifying high-value technical solutions and developing best practices to guide manufacturers’ improvement through integration of their processes resulting in increased production efficiency and higher profits.”

MESA International President, Mike Yost, said, “I am confident that Rick will be a strong leader and advocate for this group. His expertise and insight will be huge assets when tackling issues related to production process management, which is one of the most important topics we’re focused on today.”
